Privacy policy
Privacy
Protecting your personal data is particularly important to us. We therefore process your data exclusively on the basis of the statutory provisions (GDPR 2018, DSG 2000). This privacy policy explains the most important aspects of data processing in connection with our website.
Contacting us
If you contact us using the contact form or by email, we collect your data to handle your enquiry. This processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
By actively submitting your message, you expressly authorise us to do so. Our legitimate interest is to respond to your enquiry. Passing your data to third parties is neither our business purpose nor in our interest. Your data will be deleted once it is no longer required for the purpose for which it was processed. You have the right to object at any time to the use of your data for contacting you.
Security standards and data loss
Microsea protects the data stored on its servers using state-of-the-art technology. If data is lost despite the highest security requirements, any technical and/or manual weaknesses will be identified immediately and appropriate countermeasures taken.
Depending on the severity of the data loss and its impact on specific individuals, those individuals and the competent data protection authority will be notified.
Cookies
We use cookies to make our website user-friendly. Cookies are small text files stored by your browser on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website.
Website cookies cause no damage and serve many different purposes. For example, they allow efficient navigation between pages, store your preferred settings and generally improve your experience of visiting a website.
If you choose to change the language, font size, contrast or other display options on our website, we use special cookies for user interface settings. This means you do not have to select your preferred settings again the next time you visit our website.
These cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them.
If you do not want cookies to be set automatically, you can configure your browser to inform you or ask for permission whenever a cookie is set, allowing you to decide in each case.
If you have configured your browser to reject all cookies, this will at least restrict the functionality of many websites, including ours.
Web analytics
We use Google Analytics to analyse website usage. Processing is based on the statutory provisions of Section 96(3) TKG and Article 6(1)(a) (consent) and (f) (legitimate interest) GDPR.
Google Analytics also uses cookies for web analysis. The information generated by the cookie about your visit to our website is transmitted to and stored on Google servers in Europe and, in exceptional cases, on Google servers in the USA.
Our relationship with our web analytics provider Google Inc. (Google), headquartered at 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, is based on European Commission adequacy decision C(2016) 4176 on the protection provided by the EU-US Privacy Shield and ISO/IEC 27001:2013 certification for information security management.
On our behalf, Google Analytics analyses information about your browsing behaviour on our website and evaluates this data to compile reports for us on user activity on our website. The data evaluated by Google Analytics is transmitted using SSL encryption.
Google may create pseudonymous usage profiles from processed data. However, we only use Google Analytics with IP anonymisation enabled. This means that as soon as your IP address is recorded, it is immediately pseudonymised by deleting the final bits. As your IP address is then incomplete, only an approximate location can be determined, preventing identification of you as an individual or combination with other data Google holds about you.
As a user, you can prevent cookies from being stored by adjusting your browser settings. You can also prevent Google from collecting and processing the data generated by the cookie about your usage by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link:

You generally have the right to obtain information free of charge about which of your data has been stored, where it is stored and what happens to your personal data.
